The MeMe Monster
Materials
- US 6/4mm Needles. Smaller than what the yarn calls for in order to avoid gaps in the knitted monster skin.
- Monster Guts [Stuffing] Feet: Only stuff the foot and not the leg. Eyes: Stuff both the ball and stem well as it helps for the to stick up. In earlier versions of this pattern I’ve also used straws in the stem part of the eyes to help in their sticking up.
- Large eyes or any of your choosing.

- White
thread & sewing needle or glue.
- Darning needle for sewing on the limbs and eyes in the round.
- Accessories. Consider adding false eyelashes glued to the eyes before attaching them for a girl monster or a bow tie for a boy sewing it on a few rows under the mouth.

Cast On: Using your favorite go-to Toe Up Socks Cast On the number of stitches given. Alternatively you could use the Figure Eight Cast On and count the slip knot, though, I don’t even do that but simply a twist in the yarn.
M1
(Make One):
I typically have used the Knit through front and back loop on the
first round and picked up the bar between the stitch and knitting
through the back of the loop, which is considered the M1 L, left lean
make one technique. Use your favorite make one method as long as it
doesn’t leave a hole in the following rounds.
Thanks.
